Animal Event (2024)
Since 2018 we have been going to Animal Event. We see this as a company outing because I'm not only looking for new products for my boys but also for my company.
Unfortunately, bad weather was forecast, but we were prepared for that. Since we arrived at 10 a.m. we were able to go inside straight away. Every year the event is structured differently and this year the event was equipped with many small tents. Most of them were covered, so they were also better prepared for the rain this year. Last year we stood in the pouring rain to help the stalls protect their belongings. We were grateful they'd prepared for the rain.
On the beach they had even made a path with wooden plates so that we did not get stuck in the sand. The disadvantage was that the eatery had no path and you therefore had to stand 10 cm in mud. At the 'kattenplein' (cat place?) (which is what I came for) they had not taken the grass and mud into account either, so it was not pleasant to walk there at all and there was also a restaurant where you stood 10cm in the mud. Not fun!
One of the first stalls we visited was of course KEF PiekarAt the About Cats & Dogs Event I bought my beautiful Donnie and the Ragdolls bag at their stand. I knew that I wanted another bag, but this time not with just Donnine and his Ragdolls but also with my men: Jamie, Paddy and Tiny. So I asked them to make another beautiful bag for me and I was certainly not disappointed! What a beautiful bag! So happy with it.

This year we decided to hit the beach first. Because, we thought, you don't want to walk on the beach if it starts to rain. There we found the Feliway stand with a nice promotion. You could buy a Feliway Help from them and you would receive a free Happy Snack.
This snack appears to be new and should help you relax in stressful situations. I expect to have another stressful situation in the future so I bought the spray and thus got the snack. Hopefully it will help in a stressful situation, but I hope not to have to use it for a long time.
After the beach we continued to the cat square. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see all there was on the square because of the mud. I was mostly looking down so I wouldn't fall down. So that was a real shame and hope I didn't miss out on anything there.
Luckily I managed to find the Cat Walk stand. The very reason I walked through the mud. I always want to look at fun toys and this year I brought new toys for the boys again. I even managed to get some Freeze Dried snacks that they absolutely love.
What was also nice about Cat Walk was that they held a raffle. They had made very nice packages and you could buy a lottery ticket from them. I definitely wanted to participate in this and decided that my niece could take the raffle tickets and open them.
I certainly didn't regret that because my niece won! We won a very nice play package that included a play mouse. I know Donnie absolutely loves this, so this package is an instant hit already!
Next to the Cat-Walk stand was a pet shop called huisdierspullen.nl. At first this seemed like a cat shop, but we soon heard that they not only sell cat supplies, but also products for dogs, rodents, birds, fish, horses and even reptiles and they sell more than 10,000 pet products.
More than enough to find something nice for all your pets and we did that too. We found two catnip fish that I hope Sherry will like. If not, the boys will like them.
On the main road and near the cat square was the My Pets World stand and I was drawn there because they were selling Inaba Churus. My boys absolutely love the Churus so of course I couldn't pass this one up (even though we had just bought a new jar of 50 churus).
No matter what these Churus are definitely going for. The only pity was that they only had the Tuna flavor, but that wasn't a problem because the jar I bought (previously) only had Chicken variations so it all worked out well for us!
All in all, Animal Event 2024 was a success! We were able to meet nice people and get some nice things. AND although a lot of rain was reported. It didn't start raining until around half past twelve. So that made a difference for us too. The disadvantage was that there was a lot of mud. The event did think about the mud in some places, but unfortunately not everywhere. But it certainly shouldn't spoil the fun and we look forward to the next event!

Our visit to Animal Event 2024 was a success. We managed to get some super fun toys and tasty snacks for the boys. Nor have I forgotten myself! I bought myself a nice new shopping bag. A great success!
