General Information
The Ragdoll is one of the most beloved cat breeds in the world, best known for their gentle nature and striking appearance. The Blue Point Bicolor variant of the Ragdoll is special because of its beautiful color pattern and charming personality.
Appearance
The Blue Point Bicolor Ragdoll has a unique color shade. Its coat is mainly white with blue (gray) tips on the ears, tail, and legs, as well as a characteristic V-shaped white face. The eyes of a Blue Point Bicolor are usually deep blue, which adds to their enchanting appearance.
Size and Weight
Ragdolls are among the largest domestic cat breeds. Adult male Ragdolls can weigh between 5.4 and 9.1 kg, while females are slightly lighter, between 3.6 and 6.8 kg. They can reach a length of approximately 43 to 53 cm (without tail).
Character
The Blue Point Bicolor Ragdoll is known for its extremely gentle and calm nature. They are often described as docile and like to be carried as if they were a toy doll, hence the name "Ragdoll". They are very social, enjoy the company of people and get along well with children and other pets. Ragdolls are also intelligent and playful, but always in a calm and controlled manner.
Naming
The name "Ragdoll" comes from their tendency to completely relax and go limp when picked up, much like a rag doll. The term "Blue Point" refers to the color of their points (ears, paws, tail and face), while "Bicolor" indicates that their coat consists of two distinctly different colors.
